John’s the kind of man that would rather avoid open confrontation if at all possible, although if the occasion forces itself onto him, he’s no push over. This whole quarantine situation that got out of hand caught him by surprise, so sure that he was that the Military would handle it. Unfortunately for him he was dead wrong, so now he tries his best to survive the perilous streets of New York city. It’s been hard, especially because he’s on his own but he has been successful so far. Knowing how Military quarantines usually work he’s in no way expecting a rescue any time soon, in fact he’s more concerned with a tactical nuclear strike to erase whatever it is that’s going on in the city that never sleeps.
Known for his clear head amidst chaos and warfare, he’s very even and methodical in his approach to any given situation. Don’t expect him to be the friendliest in the bunch, so focused that he is on his own survival at all costs. He’s callous and quite direct when dealing with others, not wasting much of his time with chitchat or shenanigans. Mason can be quite loyal to people he might consider his friends, although in New York he has none. Therefore he watches out for number one at all times, not wasting ammo to fight the zombie unless it is absolutely necessary. There would be those occasions where he’d go the extra mile to keep someone safe, but he’s no longer honour bound to do so, therefore these situations are few and far between.
Friends –
Becoming a friend with this former Special Forces operative would be no easy feat, after all he’s not the trusting sort of person. Being all over the world has given him enough evidence that people change tremendously during tough times, so he expects the worst from everyone. If for some reason someone is able to overcome his trust issues however, that could mean a loyal and accurate soldier would be at their side for quite some time. Just don’t expect him to be all smiles and jokes, because it takes some warming up before he truly opens up to anyone.
Enemies –
Anyone who might try to steal from him would be in his hit list, or someone who just hurt someone out of kicks. He might care for his survival above everything else, but watching a regular person hurting another just to get something out of it it’s beyond his scope of comprehension. As a former operative in the Special Forces he was used to following a strict sect of rules of engagement, those no longer apply in this current situation however. He follows his own rules now.
Lover –
A bit hard in this quarantine based scenario, but stranger things have happened before. Like an outbreak of murderous zombies, so who knows.
