”Come on, guns, guns, guns… Here we go.” Mikey said quietly, talking to himself. He was in the hunting shop right now, taking a look at what was left. The rifles and shotguns were pretty much gone, but handguns were still here. Probably because they were locked up, the rifle’s only had a cable for retention. The glass case was tougher than it looked. He had just been wandering around outside, checking the streets like he often did. He had wandered a bit further than he normally had, and was happy he did. He’d seen the ‘Team Glock’ sign out front and knew he hit the jackpot. If this was a Glock center, they would have just about every model and modification that the company sold. That would go a long way… Getting inside hadn’t been a problem. But now, getting into the gun case… That was going to be an issue. He wasn’t going to smash it and bring those things for six blocks to his doorstep. Nope. He was going to need to be a bit more subtle about this. So here he was, on his knees, trying to pick the lock with some paper clips. It wasn’t going well, but that Glock 34 was looking real nice to him. Nice replacement for the 19, which was a bit too small for his hand. He didn’t even hear the quiet footsteps creeping up on him.

After all the shit that went down back at the hospital, he wasn't all surprised to find himself separated from the rest of his 'group'. He used the term group lightly because they weren't exactly a close nit group, they weren’t friends and to be completely truthful...Tyler didn’t trust any of them. In times like these, it was every man for himself. You couldn’t enter this shit and expect to make friends, people made do with what they had, formed bonds with others to simply try and get by. Tyler couldn't say that the lack of there company bothered him, not really. There were times where he’d want to delve into a conversation with someone other than himself, but what the hell? You couldn’t have everything could you?
Tyler Gage was perfectly content with going about this alone; he’d gotten this far alone what were another few miles? He had all he needed, weapons, ammo and a vehicle. This didn’t mean he was safe and Tyler knew that, every minute of every day was a fight and it didn’t matter how well packed he’d come, he could still be at risk. Tyler was a man on a mission, now looking for supplies. He wasn’t much of a fan of tracking down survivors, evidently that was what had led him into this shit storm in the beginning. He’d been en route out of this hell hole when he’d stumbled upon Olivia and her buddy and missed his chance of escape. That wasn’t to say that he would leave anyone behind, but he wasn’t looking for a buddy anytime soon...he just wanted to get the fuck out of here.
He’d managed to drive from the hospital and headed into the more central part of town, he was running low on supplies and figured since not knowing what was waiting on the other side of this city that he needed to stock up. Tyler pulled up on the street side, half parking his Chevrolet Suburban on the curb side, across the street from a local gun shop. Tyler fleeted a glance out of his tinted driver window allowing his eyes to scale the building ahead...it looked as if it hadn’t been touched in days. He wouldn’t know unless he headed over there, but it appeared from the outside to be spared of looters.
Gage proceeded to leave his vehicle, holding his Para-Ordnance Nite-Tac stainless steel - .45 ACP in his right hand. He ventured toward the building, slowly and silently, taking small steps as if to avoid creating any unnecessary sounds that may alert the infected of his whereabouts. Once reaching the outside of the building, he took a few more steps closer, noting the door was open ajar. Tyler knew now that someone was inside, he had to be cautious because for all he knew it was a hot spot for infected.
He gently eased the door open with the barrel of his gun, peering inside. So far, so good. Stepping inside a little more he was able to get a good look inside; this place didn’t seem to be under attack. A sound piqued his ears, someone was here. Quietly the man pressed forward, side stepping obstacles before coming toward the counter. He saw movement, there was a guy crouched on his knees trying to pick the lock of a firearms case. Tyler tilted his head some, he cleared his throat to get the guys attention and pointed the gun straight at him just in case he decided to do something stupid. He’d learned that people when panicked did stupid shit and he seriously wasn’t about to get his ass shot by some kid “...Nobody teach you the rules of this game, kid?” He asked, Tyler nodded at him silently ordering him onto his feet “You should always be on the lookout. Turnin’ your back like that, droppin’ your guard...someones gonna come right up an bite you on the ass for it.” There was no beating around the bush now; this kid could have had anyone coming up behind him. He was kind of lucky it was just Tyler, because he had no desire to eat him.

“...Nobody teach you the rules of this game, kid? You should always be on the lookout. Turnin’ your back like that, droppin’ your guard...someones gonna come right up an bite you on the ass for it.” A voice said, Mikey looking back and watching as the man ordered him to get to his feet halfway through his speech. Mikey had his hands at his sides and shot a look at his Glock on the counter. He could probably get to it and fire off a shot or two, but he’d take a shot as well. Same thing with his revolver or his shotgun. But then, was this guy really gonna shoot? If he was dumb enough to do it, he would have done it when Mikey had his back turned. Or, if he was a big enough prick. He didn’t seem like either, but first impressions were often wrong, anymore. A panicky person was probably good. A cool and calm person usually turned out to be a bad guy.
”I’m sure your not dumb enough to shoot me. You’ll be next on the buffet.” Mikey said. ”How about you put that down, we share the haul. I only want one thing out of here anyway.” Mikey said. It was true, sort of. He only wanted one gun. And a few mods. But that was hardly worth any violence. Then again, that was rational thinking. This guy may not have been thinking rationally.
