The troops set back to the hospital to find out what was going on. Upon entering they found staff grouping the patients off. His eyes scaled around the room watching patients as they passed by. Some were seemingly fine whilst others were on the brink of death. One thing he knew though..this place wasnt safe for them anymore, you couldnt tell the difference between who had become infected and who hadnt..it was far to risky.
They stopped outside the door hearing the doctor share her findings with the others. "I have conducted some tests, the facilities here are limited but from what I can see, Its some kind of mutant microbe in the Saliva of the infected. its transmitted through the blood, so if you get bitten and it breaks through the skin, then it seems the infection will spread. Quarenteening is fine, But I wont let you take people with wounds that arnt related to bites or those with bites that havnt penetrated the skin.." said Green. Riley placed his hand on the handle he turned it and pushed the door ever so gently.
"The hard part is grouping them without telling them why were doing it, if we tell them they could be infected the chances are theyre going to lie about how they sustained there injuries, so if we keep what we know on the quiet we can work together to get this sorted as quick as possible.." Kendall said.
Pushing the door wide open he entered followed by the troops "She's got a point" he added making his arrival noticed. Closing the door behind him he motioned for Gabe to hand Green the sample "Hopefully that can give you some more information" placing the radio down he moved to the window and glanced out of it before turning to face Green replying to what she had said about what she had found out.
"So basically, if we get bit, scratched anything that results in some form of bodily fluid exchanging..were as good as dead" he stated the obvious. Brushing a hand through his hair he let out a small sigh "Atleast we know its not airborne, which means all of us in this room are fine, for now..now that we know how this virus is passed on, we can ensure that it doesnt happen.." he said allowing his arms to hang at his sides.
"As for the quarintine, we cant be sure, Kendalls right..some people may not fess up to being bit, so the only thing we have to go by is possibly honesty and observation, if you see a wound that looks like a bite no questions asked" he told them sternly, this wasnt about taking chances anymore.
"It's not safe here, so my idea is that we find as many survivors as we can, ensure that theyre not a risk and we move out..we did a sweep theres vehicles around, im going to check the underground parking see if its safe, we will take the patients via the basment and we will leave this area, we will find somewhere else to stay and use that as an area to contact head base for an update and further instructions" Larsen was unsure where base would be but anywhere was beter then this place, they had a floor of quarentine already with god knows how many of the infected running about, it was only so long before they broke down the barricades.
Leaning against one of the counters he eyed the troops. Turning his gaze to Green "Were gonna need somewhere with medical supplies, is there anyway you can get into contact with any othert local hospitals? maybe you can find out if theyre situations are as critical as ours, if not another hospital would be an ideal location" he asked turning his attention to the troops.
"Taylor, Gamble and Wyler i want you to help the medical staff with the patients, Glau, Kendall and Myself will go check the basement and parking lot area and Gabe will help Dr Green contact the local hospitals.." he instructed taking his radio and starting for the door again "Im on call, if anything gets out of hand, anyone changes or any of those things get inside, you know what to do..we need to get this done and we need to get it done as quickly as possible, god knows how many people in this hospital could be infected..i dont wanna find out.." As heartless as it may have sounded, it was true. He was in charge of these men and women and there lives, he couldnt very well be mr sensitive and caring no mater how much he wanted to be, it mattered now more then ever, he had to be strong.
As much as she hated the 'no nonsense' policy, she agreed, they were in danger and they couldnt take chances.. not that she could do anything anyway, they were in charge not her..
She looked at Gabe as the others moved out of the office, "Thankyou for the sample.." she said taking it over to another petri dish and popping in inside, and closng the lid. "Wow.. that one wasnt fresh.." she blinked tears back from the smell and then joined Gabe who was fiddling around with the radio.
"The closest hospitals to here are within traveling distance..i think...." she wasnt too familiar with the geography of the area, she hadnt been there too much longer than the others either "Errh I think I have the frequencies here somewhere..." she said rooting through a desk draw, before pulling out a large binded folder and flicking through the pages, "Here.. " she said placing the book down and pointing to the radio frequencies.
Pushing the seat out he got to his feet and observed the sheet before him. Eyeing the frequency he began to alter to them on the radio transmitor. Tapping into the frequencys he spoke out loud and clear "Is there anyone there?" he questioned. There was no reply at this time. A doubtful look appeared on his face as he shared an exhange of looks with Green.
Clearing his throat he tried again, they needed this hospital to be open for business "Were calling from Queens, is there anyone there?" he asked and waited for a reply again sharing looks of doubt with Green, was this going to get them anywhere at all or were they wasting time? "We are in a critical situation, we have a large number of patients and minimal capacity to hold them in, what is your situation?" he asked again still waiting on a reply, he was desperate for a reply.

Sofie had been based in Manhattan when the outbreak had first occured. No one suspected it would have been as bad as it had turned out to be. No one knew what had caused it and more still know one new how to put an end to it..all they knew was that the once normal life they had known was now gone.
She had taken it upon herself to circulate the area and help those who needed it, injured civilians and some who were seeking a safe haven. Sofie had no time to panic, she had to stay calm and do the best she could to ensure the safety of others aswell as trying to stay alive herself.
She remanined at the Hospital, most of which not by choice. The streets had became chaos to go out on and the hospital was rammed full of patients in need. Sofie had never expected to see such things as she did.
People arriving with serious wounds from being attacked. People dieng then coming back and killing others. One whole level of the hospital had been quarentined, all patients who had been bitten or had physical contact with another infected were deemed as unsafe and were instantly locked on level 4 of the hospital, away from everyone else..just in case.
Only the barricade wasnt holding up to well and some of the infected had managed to get out of quarentine levels.
'CRASH!' a loud rucous was heard. Dr. Russo found herself resting her back against a locker. Shed been chased by an infected whod managed to get out and was now cornered in the locker room. Keeping as quiet as she could she lay her back firmly against the cold metal door and waited, eyes narrowing left and right waiting for the infected man to come in sight.
In her left hand she held a scalpel and in her right was holding a metal bed pan. It wasnt an ideal choice of weapons but it would make do. Narrowing her eyes infront of her, her co worker stood on the opposite side against another bunch of lockers. Unlike Sofie he was scared out of his witts. The two of them seemed to have some form of plan and on further inspection it appeared they had actually lured the man to them.
It was a cunning plan, he had escaped and they needed to get rid of him. They didnt have the time or patience to chase him around the hospital so instead. Andrews had bought her colleague Barry Irwin to lure the man and corner him, shed then make her attack.
Hazel eyes watched as he plan unfolded. Barry banged the locker to which the infected man heard and darted straight toward. Within moments he was in sight and at the side of the locker where Barry was hiding.
Sofie gripped the pan and jumped out of her spot. The pan clanged loudly as it collided with his skull. The man fell forward into the locket but quickly retreated lunging right for her.
Thinking quickly and reacting as fast as she could she lifted her arm up with a grunt and bought the scalpel down hard. The blade landed straight in the crown of his skull. The man gasped loudly and fell to the ground his body lifeless.
Breathing hastily she turned her eyes to Barry who looked like he was having a panic attack. Shifting her eyes back to the infected man she found herself resting against the locker. Her eyes were heavy from exhaustion, her face was blood spattered and pasty.
Kicking her foot out she kicked the mans leg to check if hed move, he didnt. A sigh of relief left her before she turned to Barry again "You okay?" she asked lightly. All she heard was a thud, Barry had passed out from the ordeal. Sighing once more she took out her radio and beeped someone upstairs to come help her carry Irwin back to the main level.
She was shortly joined by another collegue whom helped her with Irwin. Arriving back on the ward she headed straight for the security room to view the activities outside. Things were getting worse.
A crackling noise was heard. Twisting her head her hazel eyes narrowed at the hospital communications radio. The light on top flickered green before a voice came in loud and clear.
"Were calling from Queens, is there anyone there?"
Her eyes widened in amazement, it had been a while since someone from the outside had been in contact. A gasp of breath krept from her lips as she stared at the voice box.
"We are in a critical situation, we have a large number of patients and minimal capacity to hold them in, what is your situation?"
Snapping back to reality Sofie quickly scurried across the room and over to the transmitor. Pressing her index finger down on the red button she spoke up. "Were here, im here.." she replied grabbing hold of the microphone. "Our situation is under control..oh god am i happy to hear that theres someone else out there" seating herself she took a few deep breaths. To know there were others alive was relieving, it gave her hope.
Gabe was about to give up when the voice popped up out of nowhere. Grinning he looked at Green somewhat hopeful now, he had expected no responce. The female spoke again. Jason suddenly stopped smiling. He recognised the voice. Clearly she shock and astonishment had bettered his judgment enough to make him barely recognise the voice of his own fiance..it was.."Sofie.." he muttered under his breath narrowing his eyes at Green. He was mortified. Yanking the microphone he leant into it "Sofe!?" he questioned the female frantically. Hopeing he was wrong.
The last he'd heard from her she was in New York, that was a good 2 weeks or so ago it was before the breakout. Part of him hoped it was her but the other half prayed it wasnt, he didnt want her in this mess.
Trembling hands gripped at the microphone, she was relieved to hear from him, it'd taken her a few moments to realise who it was what with all the panic ensuing. To hear his voice it was soothing. "Oh Jason..it's nice to hear your voice.." she whispered frowning she bit her lip. As much as she was pleased to hear him, she hated knowing he was in the midst of this mess she hated more that he was near yet so far..
Sighing she swallowed hard "Are you okay? your not hurt are you? them things they didnt get to you, please tell me they didnt get to you?" she asked quickly and somewhat panicky. There was a bang from the corridor. Snapping her head her eyes narrowed to the door. She saw some of her colleagues running down the corridor passed the closed door, she could see them threw the panel..shortly behind them was two infected civilians running, screaming, hungry.
Turning back to the microphone she gripped it tightly "Things are bad, i dont know what to do..theres only so many of us, were not strong enough to keep these things out.." she confessed feeling herself tremble, she could be strong anymore she'd done it for to long now, the cracks were beginning to show. She felt her lip tremble and found herself becoming teary eyed. Sniffing she whiped away her tears.
Biting his lip his expression shifted to a pained look, he couldnt do a thing..not anytime soon anyway. Placing his hand on the table he lowered his head, she was sniffling, he could hear it loud and clear. "Ssh..okay, its okay" he assured her as best as he could, but what were words? they meant nothing.
Giving Green another look he rubbed the back of his neck thinking, he couldnt sit back and let her be where she was in the situation she was..there was no way he was going to settle now knowing that she was so near to where he was. She was a distance away but he could get to her, in time he could he just needed her to be patient.
"Sofie?..its gonna be okay, im gonna come get you..so hold on alright?" he asked her narrowing his eyes at Green again. He knew shed maybe disagree so would the others but he wasnt going to give up, even if he had to go it alone he was going to get to that hospital he was going to help Sofie.
Green suddenly decided to take charge of the situation, she moved Gabes hand away from the reciever so Sofie couldnt hear what she was going to say.
"Alright, what would be your protocal for this situation.. give her some instructions, when people are scared they need to work on something, baracade her and the other survivors in? what would you do if you were her?" she said letting go of his hand and stepping back some.
Gabe turned his gaze to Green as she covered the receiver. You could see then he was extremely concerned about Sofie's well being. Taking a deep breath he knew Green had a point, if Sofie was busy she wouldnt have time to panic.
A thought dawned on him, maybe at the hospital they could do what they were doing here "We found that anyone whose been injured by an infected civilian, a bite, a scratch..theyre turn, you found this too right?" he asked leaning into the microphone again "You need to get your staff to split the patients up, any wounds sustained by the infected and then others..once youve done that its best to quarentine off those whove been bit.." he explained "Obviously up this end a greater action is being taken but i cant ask you to take the lives of others, its not your job..just concentrate on securing the hospital and i'll be there as soon as i can.."

Riley headed off toward the basement, via the stairs. The Elevators were all blocked off and it was a good thing too, it would have been the easiest way for the infected to get up to there level.
Pushing the door open he leant inside the doorway holding his gun up tight, aiming and ready for anything that jumped out. Walking a few paces he nodded for Glau and Kendall to follow.
"Hopefully theres some vehicles availale down here, otherwise im not sure how were going to transport everyone safely" he told them keeping an eye out.
Glau followed swiftly behind "Lets say we get out of here, we find somewhere else..sooner or later those things theyre gonna bust in and we'll be doing the same thing again, why dont we just get some rides and get the hell outta here.." he suggested with a frown.
"The borders are closed Glau, the roads atleast anyway, our only way out is the airport..yeah we could go head for it now but we'd be waiting a while and by that time, well it'd be too late..we'd be sniffed out and dammed like the rest of these unfortunate souls.." he replied giving him a look.
Glau sighed heavily and kept grip of his gun, he hated the thought of them being trapped here, no real plan, nothing to really look forward too. Erin listened to Larsen, he was right and besides that wasnt there only concern. They had to not only escort themselves out but a whole bunch of survivors too..things were looking harder by the minute.
Stopping on the stairwell she could hear crashing and banging on the ward level, the ward where the staff had barricaded a whole bunch of infected off onto. Grimacing at thought that those monsters were only a floor down from everyone else and a door away from themselves..she quickened her pace. Soon the trio, Larsen, Glau and Herself were in the parking lot.
Gun raised she walked slowly apart of the trio, watching, waiting for someone to jump out. The parking lot was eerily quiet and empty all that could be heard was the rustling of there clothes and there steps thats how silent it was.
"This is weird.." she whispered giving a concerned look to Larsen and Glau. As they continued on in a triangle shape each watching one direction they came to find many vehicles, perfectly preserved in there beginning parking spaces, nothing had been touched, no one was in sight, no bodies, no infected..no nothing.
"Tell me about it" he mumbled to himself. As they walked deeper into the parking lot Glau heard a noise. Stopping dead in his tracks he narrowed his eyes to Larsen and Kendall as they stopped.
His eyes darted around searching for the cause of the noise. "What is it?" Larsen asked but Glau just shushed him, the noise came again, a fast clicking sound. All ears and eyes were on alert. Slowly he stepped forward, the noise repeated over and over again. He quickened his pace with the duo following behind. He reered nearer to the sound and then it stopped.
Stopping dead on his feet he frowned. It was coming from behind one of the cars. Sharing a look with Larsen and Kendall he turned his attention to the car, slowly and cautiously pearing over it..
As he peered down a loud bark was heard. The bark echoed through the parking lot and made Glau jump with fright. He was terrified of dogs, and seeing this one prompted him to not only scream like a girl but run away like one too. He moved back to Larsen and Kendall both of which were amused.
Larsen chuckled shaking his head. He wasnt laughing for long though. The dogs bark had echoed through the lot and on doing so had alerted some infected, they werent alone after all but because theyd been so quiet they hadnt been found..until now.
There was an uproar of what could only be described as wailing. Larsen turned on his heel facing the direction it was coming from. A small group of infected came darting down the ramp of the upper level and running right toward them, arm flaling, mouths open ready to attack.
"Back up" Larsen instructed Kendall and Glau as he did so himself. Raising his gun he fired repeatedly at the group who were running right toward them.
As Kendall and Larsen fired Glau got an idea. Eyeing up one of the ambulances over the other end he quickly ran away. Larsen narrowed his eyes "Where are you going?" he yelled, right now was not the time for backing out "Where the fuck is he going?" he shouted to Kendall still firing.
Pressing his foot on the bonet of a car Glau made a short cut, avoiding running into the path of the infected he stepped onto the cars. A few jumpes and he was at the ambulance door. Lucky it was unlocked. Opening the door he found the driver dead and the key still in the ignition. Pushing the body out he got into the seat and started it up.
Revving the engine he put his foot down, the ambulance came hurtling out of the space and onto the lot. Speeding up quickly he drove right toward the infected. Larsen stopped firing as the Ambulance came hurtling toward them. Grabbing Kendall by her arms her gripped her and threw them both out of the way.
Kendall went crashing to the floor with Larsen. Her elbow shattered against the concrete as she toppled down with Larsens weight on her. Wincing she groaned at the shooting pain she got straight up her left arm.
Glau swerved the vehicle so it came at the infected side on. Hitting them all it slid and crushed them against the back wall. The side hit the wall hard jolting Glau a little. He fell froward smacking his head off the steering wheel.
Rolling onto her side she watched as the vehicle came hurtling hitting the infected and dragging them into the side of the wall. Grimacing she watched as the ambulance crushed them against the wall barrier.
Slowly she sat up gripping at her elbow. Groaning again she slowly got to her feet and started for the ambulance to check on Glau. Extending her right arm she grasped the handle to the door and pulled it open. Glau was hunched over the wheel out cold "Anthony?" she called softly climbing into the vehicle. "He's out" she called to Larsen.
Back on the upper levels of the hospital Taylor took in her instructions and walked to the two groups of patients "Can all the medical staff please come towards me.." she called out, and sure enough the medical team, all looking very tired gingerly walked over to her. Once she had gathered them together she gave them instructions, "We need to regroup the patients, those with bite wounds and those with unrelated wounds... If your not sure, or you have to ask the patient, call it a bite okay.." she could see they all looked frightened by what she was saying and because she was speaking quietly so the patients wouldnt hear.
"Alright, you cant tell the patients why we are doing this alright? we dont want a panic, just tell them we've found a way to treat the bite wounds or something, I want two distinct groups okay, no inbetweeners..." Once she had gave them their instructions off they went regrouping the patients and Taylor began helping them manovre trollies and identify the injuries.
Wyler stood near Gamble and Taylor as Taylor gave the staff orders. His eyes shifted around the area keeping watch, just incase. Patients were moving all around looking fearful. When Taylor was finished with her words he looked to the patients who were all waiting for them. Wyler wasnt very good with public talking, not the nice kind anyway so he narrowed his eyes at Gamble to take over.
Gamble eyed Wyler before speaking calmly to the patients "This is no time to panic, were gonna need each and everyone of you to co-operate calmly with us, now we need to to divide you up into groups.." he explained, being a man of authority the patients didnt seem to ask why which was relieving.
Raising his hands he motioned to the left of him "Any patient who has sustained injurie from an infected Civlian must go to my left, those who sustained injuries from anything other then that go to my right, the staff will come around and make sure your in the right group..we need you to be honest with us, if you co-operate we can work through this quickly" he finished, as soon as he did the staff were off doing there jobs and began regrouping everyone.
Stepping back he shifted his eyes to Taylor "I sure hope this works, i dread to think that this could mess up, i dont want unecessary fatalities.."
Taylor stood next to Gamble and for the first time a look of concern was on her face. "Tell me about it.." she narrowed her eyes as she watch them grouping the patients.
Spotting one with a clear bite wound on her arm trying to move into the uninfected group, she moved and gently took the womans other arm and directed her bk to the infected group, "Sorry Ma'm your in this group right here.." Moving back to Gamble she said quietly, "We're going to have to check them all after theyre sorted..." she folded her arms.
Wyler narrowed his eyes at one of the patients whom seemed to be covering his arm up, tugging at his sleeve frantically. Raising a brow he shifted his eyes to Taylor and Gamble before heading over to him.
The man was placed in the group of misc injuries, so why was he trying to conceal a wound. Approaching him the man noticed Wyler and began scurrying through the que. Quickening up he extended his left arm and grabbed the guy by the back of his shirt. Pulling him backward the man lost his footing and fell on the floor in a heap.
Wyler looked down at him, a look of fraustration on his face. Leaning over he tugged back the sleeve. Eyes narrowed and grew wide at the sight, his arm was bruised badly, and in the center of the black brews was a perfect indentation of teeth marks.
Shaking his head he placed his hand on the mans shoulder "Come on get up" he ordered him in a half bothered tone, he couldnt be bothered with these people, not coperating and wasting there time. The man got up as instructed and began walking toward the right line. Only half way there he began yelling accusations, that they were going to kill them. That the only reason they wanted them seperated was because those who had been bit were going to be put down like dogs. On the man yelling others became panicked.
Darting his eyes at Taylor and Gamble, things were about to get worse. Taylor looked at Wyler and the crowd of people that were starting to panic because of this man, "Calm down! Nothing bad is going to happen if you all just calm down!" she called out, but it was no use, people were scurrying around yelling that they would rather take their chances on the outside than be killed in cold blood here..
Taylor looked at Gamble with a 'what do do?' expression. Gamble narrowed his eyes at the patient who began yelling. Biting his tongue he refrained from yelling at him, it was a waste of time anyway the damage had been done.
As people went running left right and centre in a panic he got a look from Taylor, she was about as lost as he was, she wasnt sure how to calm the situation and Wyler well..he'd have just made it worse. Thinking quick on his feet, he knew one thing that would rattle them. Raising his gun up in the air he fired it a few times. The firing echoed through the ward and on doing so the patients hit the deck. Covering there ears with fear.
Lowering his gun he stepped forward "You wanna leave? take your chances out there?" he questioned walking between the lines before turning on his heel to face them all "Be my guest, but you step outside your not coming back in, if those things dont kill you i sure as hell wont allow you back inside..." he said sternly.
"Those of you who wish to get out of here alive, get back in your groups, the quicker we get this done the faster we can get out and look for somewhere secure to stay..like i said you want out, you know where the doors are.." with that warning he found that most co-operated, others still made a fuss but werent reering toward the doors anymore, knowing what was waiting for them outside.
Returning to Taylor and Wyler he instructed "You know what happens next, we cant lock them up, were going to have to kill them..now i dont wanna do that but its whats gotta be done, if your not up for it then dont do it but thats what comes after this.." he said speaking quietly.
Taylor nodded at Gamble, she didnt want to, but she knew it had to be done, "Understood." she said, it was her job.. the good bits and the bad.
"Can we take them somewhere to do it?" she asked, they couldnt really do it right there, if they seemingly started randomly killing people, then they would be screwed with people battering the doors down in a bid to escape. She glanced over to the office, where she saw Dr. Green looking straight at them with a 'what the hell just happened?' face.

Gamble nodded toward Taylor, she was right in her suggestion to go elsewhere with this "Im thinking the other end of this ward, its a big ward, i think we will seperate the two and while were dealing with the infected patients, The others can be escorted out..that way neither will know whats going on" he told her biting his lip a little, his plan wasnt well thought out he was just winging things, what else could he do.
Larsen, Kendall and Glau moved to the upper level once more. They finally reached the floor and he came through the door back first "We need a medic, Erin's hurt.." he declared carrying Glau to the office where Green and Gabe were.
Hearing the door behind him open Gamble turned on his heel. Relieved it was Larsen, he was carrying Glau he didnt look injured but none the less it didnt ease his concern. Placing a hand on Alisons shoulder he nodded at her "Get them to carry on i'll be back in a second" he told her letting go and heading off into the office after Larsen and Kendall.
Placing him down on one of the chairs he motioned to Kendall "Shes gonna need that strapped up, it might be broken.." he said looking to Green "Whats the situation like here?" he asked then looked at Gabe who looked disheartened "Whats happened?" he questioned concerned.
"They're dividing the patients into groups, potential infectees and..well just plain injured, Gambles on that" he informed him motioning to the receiver he continued "I got in touch with another hospital, there secured..kind of, they dont have many patients though which means we could use there facility.." he bit his lip still worrying.
Felicity immediately walked over to Erin and looked at her arm, "Okay I'm going to have to touch it to see if its broken, you ready?" she waiting for Kendell to agree before she gently lifted her arm up with her hands, Kendell was in obvious pain as she did this, "Okay, I can feel its pretty broken.." she gently let it down and ran a hand through her hair thinking for a moment.
"That needs more work on it than I can do here.. I'll strap it up for you, but once we reach a hospital with somewhere that I can operate.. your getting a pin in that arm." she said, leaving the room for a moment to fetch a splint and bandages. While she was out in the ward, she saw two officers moving the two groups further apart.. it concerned her, deep down she knew what they were going to do, but she couldnt bring it into her conciousness, it would break her heart.
Erin grimaced at the thought of having to have a pin in her arm, but if it would make it better then she'd have to bare it. Watching Green leave the room she shifted her gaze to Gabe, he looked disheartened and fraustrated "Whats wrong Gabe?" she questioned, even though she was in agony, the well being of others was her first priority.
Rubbing the back of his neck he bought his hands behind him and leant on the table against the wall "My Fiancee is in that hospital, a doctor" he filled them in "She received the call..and i know our mission is to round up survivors and escort them" he emphasised his words understanding there mission and making it clear he did "But..i dont have the time to wait around for them, i need to get to her, for me to know that she is there..in god knows what state.." he paused shaking his head.
Larsen listened to what Gabe had said, it came as a shock. From what they had been told by Gabe Sofie was in New York 2 weeks ago and..well, from what they had all assumed..long gone by now, it showed how long it had been since theyd spoken.
Rubbing his chin a little he pondered "But you cant go by yourself..its to dangerous" he stated the obvious. Motioning to the door he spoke on "Besides theyre almost done now, and its going to take us a good while to get there, if you can hold on for atleast 10 more minutes for us, we will go as a team.." he narrowed his eyes at him "If you cant, then go now, but id prefer if you waited for us, atleast you'd have some backup.." he offered.
Gabe nodded understanding where he was coming from "Alright.." he replied a little hesitance in his voice "I'll go help them outside then.." with that he headed off to help divide the patience, he needed his mind kept busy for the time remaining.
Larsen watched as Gabe exited the room. He gave Erin a look of concern. Standing over her shoulder he eyed watch Green was doing. He placed a supportive hand on Erin's shoulder "Dont go soft on me now Kendall, you may be a lefty but dont let that be your excuse for slacking off, ive seen the mean right hand hooks you throw..i was on the receiving end once upon a time.." he joked to her trying to lighten the mood a little.
Returning to the office with the supplies she began working on Kendells arm, "I can give you something for the pain.. but it will make you drowsy.. So its up to you.." she said waiting for a responce, which she figured she knew anyway. Holding her right hand up she shook her head "No, id rather bare the pain and pull my weight around" she told her allowing her to fix up her arm for the time being.
Felicity nodded, "Thats what I had thought." she began straightening out Erins arm, laying it on a wheely table she's just scooted in, she tried to be gentle, but with any kind of bone injury, it was never going to be painless. She carefully placed the splintalongside her arm and began dry bandaging it together, as she was doing it she said, "I can wet bandage it into a cast, but you'll lose your wrist motion.. so again.. its up to you." she said as she finished strapping her arm up, "That will hold for now, but its not a perminant fix." she said.
Gamble had joined the others in the office, it was her and Wyler left to round up the patients. As Gamble was in the office, some of the patients, who were kicking off before, began making a fuss again, the room began to chatter uneasily once more. Taylor, took a leaf from Gambles book and raised her gun, pointing it at those making a fuss, "You heared what he said right? what you think because im a girl I'm a push over? think again guys!" she yelled as she pointed the gun at each of the 'trouble makers' in turn, "Now stop with the mouth because I will not hesitate if you put my life in danger.."
The crowd went quiet again. Taylor walked over to the office and peeped in through the doorway, "Sorry to interupt, but things need to get moving in here, its just a matter of time before they kick off and we cant stop them.." she said before shutting the door and walking back over to Wyler, "What?" she said with an attitude giving him a look. she was uneasy with the job that she was going to have to do.
Smiling he turned his head to Alison as she popped up at the door. He put his game face on and headed toward it opening it after she closed it behind her. Stepping out he nodded to her and Wyler before setting off between two groups which were now sorted.
As he went down the line he motioned for the doctors to give them another one over, just to make sure that it was all final. When it was done he stopped and nodded toward one of the doctors "Okay, i want everyone on this side to follow Dr.." he viewed the name tag and rose a brow a little at the weird name "Gayson.." he said smiling a little at him then shaking it off, it was no laughing matter "Uh, follow doctor..the doctor..that way" he pointed, those were the infected patients.
Turning to the other side he motioned to Dr Green "The rest of you follow Dr Green and my colleage Gabe" The divide was set and the groups were moving in motion.
That was until the guys started up again, wondering why the other group were headed toward the basment areas and they were being taken down deeper into the ward. Narrowing his eyes he motioned for Taylor, Gamble and Wyler to follow him as a riot began, sending them first he looked at Gabe who was waiting at the door with Glau whod now woken up "Get them out of here" he told them regarding the uninfected patients.
Darting after Gamble, Taylor and Wyler he hurried toward the infected patients who were causing problems. Hitting at staff members, pushing past some even running toward the exits. Eyes widened in horror as one patient ran right for the exit doors.
"No!" he shouted and as he did that was it, the doors flew open and the infected began to get in. "Move now..go!" he yelled to Gabe and Glau to get them to take the others down but as the infected got in the patients became panicked and instead of going down to the basement they began retreating and scattering off into the hospital ward again.
The whole plan had fell to pot, there was infected runing from left right and centre, patients running scared, being eaten..what were they to do. He opened fire on a few and shouted toward Wyler and the others to exit, there was no use now, things were to messy they had to evacuate now, whomever made it made it out, whoever didnt well..it wasnt his problem anymore.
There efforts of calming the situation were useless, things only got worse. Before he knew it the doors were open, the infected were in, bodies were running everywhere, dropping down in heaps..all they could do was watched everything get destroyed infront of them.
Wyler took action almost instantly and began firing, firing at anything that got in his way, that was the best way to get by for him. He listened to Larsen's instruction and made his path toward the basement entrance toward the others.
Gamble took a few shots keeping at Taylors side. Larsen and Wyler were further ahead of them neering toward the exit. He bought his left hand up and tugged at Taylor keeping sure she was still near him as they began to move swiftly toward the basement, pushing there way past others and firing when necessary.
Although inside she was screaming, outwardly Taylor seemed calm.. well as calm as she could seem with infected running around killing random patients, and the healthy patients getting mixed up in the whole thing and basically everyone running around like a startled baby deer.
She had her gun raised and was shooting infected without even being conscious of it. it was just automatic. glancing to her side she was grateful that Gamble was there, keeping a watch for her.
As Gamble tugged her towards the basement, Alison caught sight of Dr. Green, who was trying her best to get the healthy patients to come to the basement, but they were all having none of it.. Alison gave Gamble a look, "I'm gonna go get her.." and she turned and took off, back onto the ward, charging towards the doctor. Stopping infront of her, she fired at two infected before grabbing Greens shirt and dragging her towards the stairs to the basement, pushing her ahead she stopped and fired at three infected, but she only hit two of them. the third crashed into her, pushing her over, where she hit her head on the corner of a trolly. she thrashed around trying to get it off her, also desperatly avoiding its nashing teeth.
She managed to get her gun lengthways pushing it against its neck, keeping its face away from hers. she then managed to kick it off her and scrabbled to her feet darting back down towards the basement with Dr. Green..
When everyone was at the basement he quickly shut the door behind him. Everyone made there way down the concrete flights of stairs.
As he followed swiflty behind everyone he gave orders "Green, Wyler, Kendall and Myself will take one vehicle while Glau, Taylor, Gamble and Gabe take another.." eyes narrowed about as they made there way down the stairs, only 6 patients had managed to get out with them.
The realisation was shocking for him, but well..what did he expect? things never went to plan.
Reaching the garage he moved ahead of the others and slowly pushed the door open. The dog was still there running about but there were no infected in sight..he wasnt taking chances though.
Cautiously he round up three of the patients along with his chosen colleagues and proceeded toward one of the ambulances parked up. He got infront the drivers seat, Green in the passenger whilst Kendall and Wyler got in back with the patients.
Glau, Gamble, Taylor and Glau moved to another Ambulance where they too got inside, Taylor took role of the driver, Gamble sat passenger and Glau and Gabe in back with the patients.
After setting up..they hit the road.
