They always expect the crazy ones... ... but what do you do when everyone is crazy? It had been a few days now since Alexander and Sidney had ditched Wyler after he tried to have her kicked. Alexander had found that despite not having a clue where the hell they were going to find help, these days had actually been better than those miserable two weeks with the stupid military man. Sidney kept an eye on his back and he kept an eye on hers, together ensuring that each one survived. That was all they had for now, making sure that they would keep each other alive until one way or another they did not have to anymore. Alexander was a bit pissed that Sidney was infected, as it meant any hopes of having a romance with her were quite stomped out. Unless, as he hoped, there was indeed a cure out there that they could find. Alexander was not convinced that there was one or if there was, that he would be able to convince the scientists or doctors who had it to let Sidney be administered it. Yet it gave him a purpose rather than just the bleak thoughts of only staying alive because that was all that there was to do. They were running low on supplies however and if they were going to survive and maybe find a cure, they were going to need food and water. So the two decided that they would split up for a few hours as each would scour a few blocks and see if they could scrounge up some goods to keep their asses alive for the next few days. Sidney was pretty much safe, since those things were leaving her alone due to the infection, Alexander on the other hand was having to tread carefully. Part of him just wanted to make a quick run into the grocery store that he had come across. Yet in the back of his mind, he just knew that it had likely already been ransacked and it was a good place for those things to hide, nabbing unsuspecting victims like he or others looking for goods. Maybe he was giving them too much credit, thinking that they could actually still have the cognitive function to set up an elaborate trap. In these days of hell however, he was sure that erring on the side of caution was the right choice. "There will be other places to try and find stuff Alexander, you do not need to risk it. There's a trap in there, either those creatures or those people who have gone crazy. You know this to be true, so sit standing around and hoping that will change the fact." he said to himself, trying to urge himself to act on the logic. There was still the sniper that was strapped to his back and his pistol in his pocket if he needed a weapon. Yet as much as he wanted to leave, he just could not bring himself to do so.

"Round up the usual suspects." - Captain Louis Renault, Casablanca
[/i][/color] Eric Adler didn't like to think about his family to be completely honest. Eric didn't really have any problems with his little brother, Ethan. But, damn, Eric certainly had his fair share of problems with his mom and dad. Eric was a part of the presidential family, although he didn't like it. Eric was most certainly the black sheep of the family. The young man didn't go along with the whole thing like Ethan had. Eric didn't want to be paraded around like some kind of trophy. So, the young man decided to follow his own future. Eric went on to live the life that he'd wanted to live. The young man had become a police officer in New York City. He loved it to be completely honest. The young man enjoyed following his dreams and doing exactly what he had set out to do in his life. The young man honestly enjoyed the fact that he was following his own path. That was what you were supposed to do with life, in Eric's opinion. The young man didn't think that anyone should have had the ability or power over you to say what you did and when you did it. Eric was pretty fucked over and pissed off about this zombie bullshit. Mainly because his family didn't seem to care. Eric didn't care that he was left here in this apocalypse... But Eric was concerned about his brother Ethan. Eric knew that Ethan worked in Manhattan and all Eric wanted was a sign from his parents on whether or not his brother had been evacuated or whether he was still stuck here in Manhattan. If Ethan had gotten out, then fine that was great and amazing. Eric's mind would've been put to ease... But the young man was worried that Ethan hadn't gotten out alive... And well, Ethan wasn't the most resourceful kind of guy. The young man wasn't one to be thrust into a situation like this. Eric had always been the cowboy kind of type... But Ethan had been much more the opposite and Eric was more than worried for his little brother. Eric had been with a young woman named Sidney Rizzo when the infection hit. Eric didn't know what to think of Sidney, to be completely honest. She was certainly something else now wasn't she? The young man had been with Sidney when she'd been infected... Eric was shell shocked to be completely honest. Yet, there was something weird about it. Sid didn't turn right away like many of the others. No, Sidney seemed almost normal aside from a few markings that took form in her eyes. Sidney had left Eric though... She was trying to save him from herself, Eric got that. But the young man was still a little peeved. He just didn't like being left alone. Truth of the matter was though, that he actually kind of cared about Sidney. It was weird. He'd only met her for the better part of a day... But Eric Adler knew Sidney better than he knew some of his friends. The young man was torn up about her leaving. Right now though... Eric didn't even know if Sidney was still alive or if she was now one of the mindless creatures wandering around. Eric Adler walked down the street in Queens silently. The young man had become quite good at staying quiet. He eyed a grocery store and figured that it'd be a pretty damn good place to find some supplies. As Eric approached the building from the side street he was on, the young man eyed a guy standing nearby. He didn't seem infected... Well mainly because many infected people didn't walk around with sniper rifles on their back. Eric approached the young guy and showed him that he meant no harm by putting his hands up in the air, open palmed. "Hey, name's Eric Colson and no, I'm not infected... and I'm not crazy either." For a moment, Eric paused slightly, not even realizing that he'd given a fake name... He'd only begun to do so out of pure instinct. "You thinking what I'm thinking about that supermarket? Going in alone would be a little stupid... But I've got no problem watching your back if you've got mine..."[/blockquote]
